There are two easy ways to isntall openshot, one, via an AppImage , available: OpenShot-v2.2.0-x86_64.AppImage, or if you like to keep ir oLd Skool, you can use its official PPA:

  1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openshot.developers/ppa
  2. sudo apt-get update
  3. sudo apt-get install openshot-qt

My current hardware does not have the power to make good use of OpenShot, but the main developer of OpenShot made one himself, displaying the latest features.

Exporting video is tad to much for my hardware, but, images work just fine.
